As a natural material, the Tagua shell will slowly change over time with use. This is part of its organic lifecycle and connection to nature. It will accompany you for a long time, but is not meant to last forever. Please remove the filter before recycling.
A little history
The mouthpiece of your pipe is made from “Chonta”, a wood traditionally used by Indigenous communities in Ecuador to craft tools, weapons, and shields. The Tagua nut is also known as “vegetable ivory” due to its beautiful natural white color. It provides a cruelty-free alternative to elephant ivory and supports local Ecuadorian economies.
Care instructions
Remove the mouthpiece and fill with herbs or tobacco (depending on preference)
Light from the bottom hole and inhale gently If tight at first use, gently twist the mouthpiece to loosen
Remove excess oil before first use with a tissue
Keep flame slightly away from the opening to preserve design
After use, clean with cold water and a cotton swab
