As you smoke the pipe, the nutshell will after a while start to burn down and you can almost completely recycle it back to nature. Therefore please understand that the pipe won't last forever, though it will stay with you for a good while.  Please remove the filter before recycling.

A little History Fact! The mouthpiece of your pipe was made out of “Chonta” which the indigenous used to make weapons and shields back in the days.  

Because of the beautiful, natural white color, the Tagua nut is also called “vegetable ivory” or “ivory nut.” The Tagua nut makes it possible to provide a cruelty-free boost to the local Ecuadorian economy and offers an alternative to ivory, which comes from elephant tusks.

Instructions:

• Remove the mouthpiece and fill your pipe with herbs, pure or with tobacco (however you prefer your smoke). Hold the lighter below the hole on the bottom of the pipe and inhale - sneak above.
• Once you open your pipe for the first time, it might be a bit hard to open. Move the mouthpiece gently right to left to loosen it.
• Therefore was oil applied to the mouthpiece to avoid it from being stuck during transport. Before the first use please gently remove the oil with a tissue
• To maintain the design for a long time, while smoking the pipe please turn the design backward to avoid flames going towards the design
• Hold the flame a bit further away from the whole in order to avoid the nut from being exposed too much to the flames. This will make your pipe last longer.
• Once you finished smoking, remove the mouthpiece and gently wash it out with cold water. You can use a simple cotton swab to clean it out.
